The Ruppertsberg Grauburgunder is made from Pinot Gris, the same grape as Pinot Grigio but with considerably more to say. From the warm sunny soils of Ruppertsberg in the Pfalz it produces something richer and more generous than most whites you have tried. Apple, pear and grapefruit on the nose, full bodied and smooth on the palate with a freshness that keeps you coming back.

Dry, easy and seriously food friendly. The kind of bottle that works with almost anything on the table and never gets in the way.

Dr. Josef Köhr

Weingut Dr. Josef Köhr has farmed the same corner of the Pfalz since 1648, making it one of Germany's most historically rooted family estates. Under the current generation, red varieties now make up half the range, oak ageing has been extended, and a new Syrah signals a producer with one eye firmly on the future. Sixteen hectares at the foot of the Pfälzerwald, farmed with the confidence that comes from nearly 400 years of unbroken knowledge.
