You know that first sip that makes you stop what you are doing?

The Ruppertsberg Riesling does that. From vineyards that stretch from the edge of the village all the way up to the Haardt mountain range, it is a wine that carries the character of its place in every glass. Apricot, peach and mirabelle on the nose, creamy and generous on the palate with a gentle spice that makes it feel like more than just a white wine.

Dry but full of fruit. Light but never thin. The kind of bottle that works equally well on a terrace on a warm afternoon or alongside a good pasta on a rainy evening.

Riesling at its most approachable and most satisfying.

Dr. Josef Köhr

Weingut Dr. Josef Köhr has farmed the same corner of the Pfalz since 1648, making it one of Germany's most historically rooted family estates. Under the current generation, red varieties now make up half the range, oak ageing has been extended, and a new Syrah signals a producer with one eye firmly on the future. Sixteen hectares at the foot of the Pfälzerwald, farmed with the confidence that comes from nearly 400 years of unbroken knowledge.
