Rožnato means rosé in Slovenian and this one from Kobal is not a casual summer rosé. It is a gastronomic wine. Made from Zweigelt with just 2 hours of skin contact for the pale colour, spontaneously fermented with indigenous vineyard microflora, aged 100% sur lie in used French 225L oak barrels, and bottled unfiltered. Some sediment may appear. This is intentional.

Overripe strawberry, small red fruits and tropical nuances on the nose. The taste is pleasantly rounded with a long aftertaste that shows the character of lees maturation and oak ageing. This is a rosé that belongs on the dinner table, not the sun lounger.
