Les Greves is one of the finest Premier Cru vineyards in all of Beaune. And this bottle proves it.
Situated on the slope of the Montagne de Beaune, Les Greves has produced exceptional wine for centuries. Philippe Germain's parcel in this vineyard produces a Pinot Noir of real class and ambition, aged carefully in oak barrels to build the structure and complexity that Premier Cru Burgundy demands.
Ripe red and dark fruit on the nose with confited fruit, toasted oak and spice and a refined floral note that is the hallmark of great Beaune. On the palate it is solid and complex, with concentrated fruit, well structured tannins and a finish that keeps building long after the glass is empty.
This is the wine you open for a landmark occasion, a significant dinner, a gift that says something. Or you put it in the cellar for ten years and open something extraordinary.
Premier Cru Burgundy from a family that has been farming these soils for three generations.
